Short Term Health Insurance in Colorado Temporary Health Insurance in Colorado International Travel Medical Insurance in Colorado
Who benefits from Short Term Coverage?
- Laid off & can't afford Cobra
- In-between jobs
- Just graduated from college
- No longer covered by parent's plan
- In waiting period for employer-sponsored coverage at new job
- Note: Temporary health insurance does not include coverage for pre-existing conditions. If you have a pre-existing condition, a short-tem policy may not work well for you. For example, if you have high blood pressure (HBP), a better choice for coverage may be an individual policy with an uprating for HBP rather than a short-term policy with an exclusion of coverage for both HBP and illnesses caused by or related to HBP.
International Travel Medical Insurance - Leaving the Country?
Many Insurance carriers pay international claims on a reimbursement basis (meaning you pay upfront and file the claim later) and for emergency treatment only. Additionally, you may find that your current health insurance carrier would not cover the cost of transportation back to the United States if necessary. If you are leaving the country, you may wish to supplement your health insurance with a foreign travel medical insurance policy.
